The light on the left is the CMG Infinity Ultra - a brighter version of the original CMG Infinity. This has to be the most indestructible pocket light ever made. It uses one double A battery that powers a single LED. It would be a perfect key chain light except that it's a little big. The other four are CMG Sonics - one triple A battery. This should have been the perfect solution (to the size problem) - and mostly it was.

The problem with these lights: The switch is only a little
more reliable than the Mag Solitaire, but it's the key chain end that
rotates - loosening it to turn it off. Expect to see it unscrew in you
pocket as much or more than the Solitaire. Other than that, it's a great
light. It and the Streamlight Key-Mate
have replaced the Solitaires as my regular key chain lights. |
After using the
four lights on the right for a while now, I can unequivocally say...THEY
SUCK! Except a few very cheap plastic pieces of crap, these
are by far and away the most unreliable lights I've ever owned. And
they weren't cheap! One of them is basically shot. And at best, the
others just work when they feel like it... which is rarely. My store
is dark when I open and close so I need a flashlight. These things just
don't cut it. It's now the Streamlight Key Mate. My two Infinitys are great lights. I use them both very often and they always work. |
